The Exercises are structured to foster:- Heightened awareness of God’s love
- Discernment
- Deepening of discipleship/vocation
- Greater inner freedom
- Ability to pray with Scripture
- Attentiveness: listening to God and Self
- Journaling
- Meet with a spiritual director once a week
- Become accustomed to praying with Scripture before entering the Exercises
- Pray daily for one hour
- Set aside 9-12 months to complete the Exercises
